1965-1980: Cable manufacture with high tech plastics (PTFE, FEP, PFA, ETFE)
1965: Creation of the company as a French branch of a Swedish company.
1980: Sales of the subsidiary to a holding which is under the control of Volvo.
Mr. Puzo is hired to head up the 110 employee company.
1981: Creation of the Research & Development department.
1985: Birth of Axon' Cable
LMBO carried out by Mr Puzo, the main managers of the company and some financial organisations: AXON' CABLE is born.
1989-1995: Creation of 4 export subsidiaries in Germany, Scotland, United States and Japan.
1990-2000: Space and medical innovations
Bus network wiring for Ariane 5, flat harnesses, Picocoax® (coaxial miniature cables), aluminium conductors (energy distribution for satellites).
1994: Acquisition of Addix, a manufacturer of elastomer products.
1996: Acquisition of Loupot, a company specialised in the manufacture of interconnect solutions and mechatronics components.
The company changes its name to Axon’ Mechatronics in 2015.
1997: SOFIM specialising in company networking and coaxial connectors joins the group.
From 2000: Miniature connectors
Micro-D and Nano-D interconnect solutions (design and manufacture of connectors), extruder for large diameters PTFE cables.
2000-2004: Creation of 3 factories and a sales office.
2006: Opening of a new manufacturing site in Querétaro in Mexico.
2008: Opening of a new office in India.
2010: Opening of a manufacturing site in India.
2011: Sofim enlarges its range of products and is called Domocare.
Opening of a new factory in Montmirail.
2013: Creation of the Brazilian subsidiary in Rio de Janeiro
- Axon’ Kabel GmbH invests and moves to its new premises in Leonberg in October.
2015: Axon’ celebrates its 50th anniversary.
2016: Acquisition of CISAL, a SME located in the Alsace region. This company is specialized in the manufacture of contacts and pin headers. The company has been renamed Axon’ PinTec SAS .
2016: Acquisition of ISA France, company specialized in the design and manufacture of nano-components and nano-assembling. The company located at Villers-sur-Lac in the Doubs region, changed its name and became Axon’ Nanotec .
2017: Opening of Axocamp, training center for machine operators and IT experts.
2017: Opening of an office in Singapour, replaced by a subsidiary in 2018.
2018: Obtaining of ISO 45001 certification. Axon’ is one of the first company certified by AFNOR Certification in the world.
2019: Relocation of the Indian subsidiary near Bangalore airport - Axon’ Interconnectors & Wires.
2020: Merging of Axon’ Nanotec (ex ISA France), Axon’ Pintec et Grandidier. Merging of Domocare and Axon’ Cable.
