Flexible Power Cable

Flexforce® Flexible power cables are perfectly suited to systems where high currents and flexibility are paramount: armoured vehicles, tanks, radar systems, public transport, cars, wind power, robots and ships. Flexible power cables are made with very flexible conductors insulated with Axon’ Special compounds (ASC), halogen free or FEP materials for very tough environments. Flexforce® cables can greatly ease mechanical installation when the available space is very limited.

  • High flexibility for routing in space reduced environments.
  • Easy installation.
  • High current carrying capacity (example: 330 Amps for a 50 mm² Flexforce® at 30°C).
  • High and low temperature resistance.
  • Excellent abrasion and cut-through resistance.
  • Resistant to engine fluids including hydraulic liquid, mineral oil, gasoline and diesel.
  • Operating voltage: 600 VAC , 1000 VAC, depending on the construction. Higher voltage ratings on request.
  • Cables made with extra-flexible tin plated copper conductors: flexibility better than IEC 228 class 6.
  • 3 different high temperature insulation materials:
    • Halogen free insulation: -40°C/+125°C.
    • Axon’ special high temperature thermoplastic elastomer: -40°C/+150°C.
    • FEP insulation material: -90°C/+200°C.
  • Available sections: 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185 mm2. Others on request.
  • Currents: from 120 to 770 A at 30°C depending on the construction.
  • Armoured vehicles: power distribution, hybrid electric drives, auxiliary power and control systems, engine management.
  • Tanks.
  • Remote weapon systems.
  • Radar systems: high power radars, airborne radars.
  • Mast systems.
  • Public transport: tramways, metro
  • Cars: electric drives.
  • Renewable energy including wind power.
  • Robots.
