Axon’ has developed a range of accessories for MIL-STD-1553 data bus networks including splices, databus terminators and connector backshells.
Splices are used to interconnect data bus systems without connectors or for maintenance reason:
- Controlled impedance
- Good mechanical characteristics and sealed
- Mounted with standard tools (M22520/02 & 10)
Databus terminators are used to fit the main line. Axon’ offers:
- 77 ohm in line databus terminator (AMB/X-I-XX)
- 77 ohm, 1 k ohm, 3 k ohm dismountable databus terminator or stub impedance (AMB/A-R or AMB/A-D).
Connector backshells are used to protect the harness from EMI or mechanical damage.
The use of backshells is strongly recommended to have good shield coverage as requested in the MIL-STD-1553 standard.
Some of our backshells have been specially designed to be mounted inside MIL-STD-1553 networks.
Axon’s backshells can be placed behind circular connectors including MIL-C-38999 connectors or behind rectangular connectors including D-Sub connectors.
For specific requirements, Axon’ can adapt the size of the funnel, its orientation, the length of the cabling room, the diameter of the cable entry as well as the angle.
