Axon’ Cable designs and manufactures RF coaxial assemblies and microwave coaxial assemblies with very low losses.
For example, microwave coaxial assemblies working at a frequency of 50 GHz are characterized by optimized insertion losses at 2.45 dB/m and by shielding efficiency greater than 100 dB.
Insulated with a FEP or PU jacket and terminated with coaxial connectors, the RF coaxial and microwave assemblies are easy to install.
They are mainly used for measurement, radar, antennae and surveillance systems.
Lightweight, semi-rigid and extra flexible versions for dynamic applications are also offered.
- Temperature range: -55°C to + 125°C for a FEP jacket or - 40°C to +95°C for a PU jacket.
- Operating frequency: up to 50 GHz (dependent on the type).
- Optimized insertion losses up to 50 GHz.
- Shielding efficiency > 100 dB for a frequency of 1 GHz.
- Very flexible versions (U series) designed for high repetitive bending for dynamic applications (radar, surveillance systems).
- Axolab® range: for very severe applications, microwave coaxial assemblies can be protected with a flexible stainless steel hose or spring and an insulation (thermoplastic or polyolefine) to resist crush; crush resistance can be greater than 150 kg on a 5 cm cable length.
- Lightweight versions: 30% weight saving compared to the aeronautics WN standards. This is the ideal solution for the cabling of aircraft or helicopters.
-
Flexible versions equivalent to semi rigid cables (AX series) :
- Up to 40 GHz
- Compatible with any connector type for semi-rigid cables.
- Hybrid harnesses: the microwave assemblies can be integrated into hybrid harnesses which require various configurations of wires and terminations including coaxial, high flex wires, shielded pairs, fiber optics, power cables and connected to circular, miniature or coaxial connectors.
