Axon’ Cable exhibits at the 3rd Space Passive Component Days

5 Oct 2018

The interconnect company will be exhibiting at the SPCD Symposium presented by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), which will take place at Noordwijk, in the Netherlands from the 9th to 12th October 2018. It is the opportunity for Axon’ Cable to present its expertise for the space market.  In addition, the company will be presenting a technical paper on the evolution of SpaceWire Electrical Interconnect and also a TIC (Technical Introduction of Components) on Versatile Miniature Power and Data Connectors for Rapid Integration. Meet our space crew at the booth n°7.

Space saving and reliability

Axon’ Cable engineers design interconnects in compliance with ESCC standards which meet challenging requirements including space saving, resistance to vibration and shocks. From single core hook-up wires to coaxial cables and data bus cables, the range of ESA wires and cables manufactured by Axon’ are supporting project such as the International Space Station, LEO and GEO satellites, manned and unmanned flights, where Axon’ provides custom designed interconnects for the cabling, data transmission, high data rates links and power distribution.

Modularity and fast installation

Axon’ Cable has developed miniature connectors equipped with a fast latching system giving greater flexibility to customers. In the heart of these miniatures fast installation products: the new Micro-D connectors equipped with a D-click fast latching system perfectly suitable to space-constrained system where access to the connectors is difficult. The company has also developed Versatys®, a new concept of compact power connectors for space applications. With interchangeable lines (power contacts and wires), the user can customize their own connectors with a significant space and weight saving compared to the D-Sub connectors.
